Who is ARGON?
Argon is a french dancefloor music band formed by 2 musicians
who grew up in the late funky disco years & new wave beginnings holy periods,
where electric guitars and synthesizers worked in perfect symbiosis.
This duet takes its sources in deep roots of afro american and british musical moods,
with a strong taste for dancing rhythms and sounds.
The first release "on The Dancefloor"
pays tribute to their beloved musical styles, in a perfect combination of analog
and electro sounds, with the so Argon up to date touch.
It also features a nice friendly collaboration with Emilie Roger, a talented vocalist
and pianist, who was able to reach stars during the recording of her performance.
So, listen carefully , this is Argon music...
And play it loud !
Sylvain K
Sylvain K is the solo and rhythm guitarist of the group, he is also the
co-composer of the music of Argon.
Musician with multiple influences, he made his first scales on a classical guitar, found lonely in a
closet, and that had belonged to his sister.
His serious debut began when he bought (from
a guitarist friend) his first electric guitar at the age
of 17.
He began to study the different blues-rock ranges in various small specialized books, and had a
revelation to listen to guitar heroes like Gary Moore, Eric Clapton or Carlos Santana yet ...
Alongside this very rock universe, his taste for the new-wave and cold wave period with group like
New Order and The Cure for example, did not weaken.
Rediscovering family discography, some titles would mark it permanently: Fade to Grey by Visage,
Oxygen by Jean Michel Jarre, but also
Moroder, or the whole disco era and funk the late 70s will
leave an indelible mark in music he later developed, and which will find its reason in the creation of
Argon group ...
David-Paul
David-Paul
is the co-composer and producer of Argon Group.
Songwriter, he began computer music in the late 90s in order to compose his own songs, a
discipline he taught thereafter.
Singer, guitarist, composer and producer, influenced by the 80s and the French song he
composed and recorded many songs that often remain in the private domain.
He meets Sylvain K in 2013 and their musical exchanges confirm their common tastes.
They founded in 2015 Argon and work together on their first record, "on the dancefloor"
with great enthusiasm.
David Paul realized the production of this album in his home studio.
Emilie Roger
After studying at conservatories of Angers and Blois, Emily gets a CFEM piano and a
DEM of musical training.
She continued her career at the University of Tours, where she obtained a degree in
Musicology and DUMI.
She currently works as a piano teacher and as Dumiste where she teaches music to
children in elementary school.
She leads musical education projects in partnership with Tours Opera and works with
Sanjay and Teepu Khan, Indian musicians of Rajasthan.
She is currently writing her first songs influenced by Emilie Simon, Lynda Lemay ...
